Revan

Revan Chan is a lightsaber choreography and sabre instructor at Avalon HEMA. His HEMA journey began with an interest in swords, and meeting the other instructors at Avalon HEMA allowed him to embark on this path. Over time, his passion for HEMA has deepened through participation in various martial arts competitions and learning from the diverse instructors he has encountered.

Initially, Revan's interest was focused on Polish sabre, which captivated him with its distinctive body mechanics and tactics. As he delved into the wealth of information available, this interest laid the foundation for his exploration of Eastern European systems. Currently, Revan is drawn to another related system: the sabre techniques of Hungarian fencing master L. Chappon. The unique techniques and maneuvers of this system distinguish it from the relatively similar sabre systems of the late 19th century.
